Why RECEIPTLY EU exists

Most expense apps are built for the way large companies handle expenses: approval chains, corporate cards, reimbursement workflows. Freelancers and sole traders across Europe don't need any of that — they need their receipts organized and their VAT numbers ready before the next quarterly deadline.

RECEIPTLY EU was built around one problem: a freelancer's box of paper and email receipts, and the few hours every quarter spent turning them into a VAT report. Snap a photo, and RECEIPTLY EU reads the vendor, date, total, VAT amount, and currency automatically — then rolls everything into a report formatted the way your country expects it.

We're a small, independent team, and we're building this feature by feature based on what freelancers across Italy, Spain, and Portugal actually ask for. If something is missing or wrong, tell us — most of what's in the app today started as a reply to a message like that.
