Is my data stored in the EU?

RECEIPTLY EU is built for European freelancers, and our infrastructure supports EU-region data hosting. If keeping your data within a specific country matters for your own compliance needs, contact us before you sign up and we'll confirm the setup for your account.

What happens after my free trial or free-tier limit is reached?

If you're on the free plan, you get 5 receipt scans per month with no credit card required. If you're on a trial, it lasts 7 days. Either way, your existing data is never deleted — upgrading to Pro unlocks unlimited scans and full quarterly VAT report exports.

Can my accountant get access to my account?

Not yet — today, RECEIPTLY EU is built for single-user accounts. Shared access for your accountant is on our roadmap. In the meantime, you can download your VAT reports and send them directly.

Which countries' VAT reports do you currently support?

Full filing-ready quarterly VAT report generation works today for Italy, Spain, and Portugal. For Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Ireland, RECEIPTLY EU detects local VAT rates on every receipt and aggregates net and VAT by quarter (which your accountant can use directly) — a filing-ready report export for those five countries is coming soon. Is there a free plan, and what does it include?

Yes. The free plan includes up to 5 receipt scans per month, your full expense history, and one VAT report export per quarter — no credit card required. Pro removes the monthly scan limit and unlocks unlimited VAT report exports, starting at €9/month.

How accurate is the AI receipt scanning?

RECEIPTLY EU uses AI to read the vendor, date, total, VAT amount, and currency straight off your receipt photo. It's accurate on the vast majority of clear, well-lit receipts, but no AI scanner gets every faded thermal receipt or handwritten note right — we always show you the extracted fields before they're saved, so you can fix anything that needs it in a few seconds.
